Week 9 Fantasy Football Projections

If Calvin Johnson wasn't 7 yards short of the single game receiving record, Cincinnati's Marvin Jones would have been the sole receiver atop the Week 8 scoring leaders. Jones racked up 122 yards with 4 TDs on 8 receptions, tying Johnson with 36 ESPN standard points. This from a player owned in 1.1% of leagues.

This week you'll be able to see Jones Thursday night against Miami, and you may have to scramble to the waiver wire this busy bye week. Here are the ESPN standard scoring projections for week 9. Bold indicates the player is owned in less than 75% of all leagues.

Top 10 QBs Thru Week 7

We're now seven weeks in to this 2013 NFL season, and Peyton Manning is already half way to catching Tom Brady's 2007 TD passing record of 50. He's also only 1 TD pass behind his brother's season total from last year. Oh, and he's already tied Josh Freeman's season total from 2010.

This certainly isn't the most surprising fact so far. Maybe the most surprising fact is that Phillip Rivers is statistically the 3rd best QB, behind Matt Stafford with just as many TDs and yards as the latter. ESPN experts don't seem confident he'll continue this pace, but then again he was "hated on" by Matthew Berry on his pre-season Love/Hate list.

We'll see how things play out in the next 9 weeks. But until then, here are your current statistical top 10 QBs:
